Poker Party Centerpiece

Your guests will love this casino night centerpiece that dishes out fun in spades. It looks elaborate, but grab your glue gun and you can assemble everything in about 15 minutes. Poker theme dishes are readily available at home, gift and party stores or online at Fidalgo’s Home Flair, and everything else comes straight from the craft store. I used Christmas ornaments for the playing cards and poker chips, but you could just as easily use the real deal. Glue them on, throw the dice and show off your winning style.

Here’s How:

1. Turn a serving bowl upside down and hot-glue a dessert bowl right-side up on top. Center a black glass plate on top of the dessert bowl and hot-glue it in place to form the base.

2. Stack pairs of foam dice on the plate and arrange ceramic spade and heart snack bowls upright around them. Hot-glue the pieces in place.

3. To top it off, hot-glue playing cards and poker chips to 6-8” lengths of light gauge steel wire. Insert the decorated wires into the foam dice, gently bending the wires to fan them out.

4. Scatter poker chips on top of the dice and around the base of the plate and hot-glue into place.

5. Stack a pair of foam dice around the base to finish.

Terrific Tip: If you have trouble finding foam dice, decorate white foam cubes with round black stick-on labels from an office supply store.
